The experience

Bilborough Sixth Form College caters for students aged 16 to 19 years old, wanting to study A-levels and BTECs in an academic, supportive and sociable environment. Ours is also an environment fully equipped for learning: our campus was purpose-built in 2005, and is complete with specialist teaching facilities and the latest technologies. In 2023 a new teaching block was added providing additional bespoke classrooms for Electronics, Physics, E-sports and Mathematics.

We’re glad to be able to meet your requests for subject combinations, no matter how unusual. We also provide you with excellent support to prepare you for success beyond college through our Careers Programme which is dedicated to guiding you towards informed decisions to support your future success. On site five days a week, our dedicated team of careers advisors work closely with subject faculties, to ensure you understand the career paths your studies can lead to. Partnering with local and national employers and further and higher education providers, they deliver a comprehensive range of activities over your two-year programme with us.

Although we’re larger than a school sixth form, we are still able to educate you as an individual. Help is always available from our dedicated Student Support Team. You will be assigned a Skills and Progression Teacher whose role is dedicated to supporting you. You will have regular once a week tutorials, and you’ll have opportunities throughout the year to meet one to one with them to review your academic progress.
