The 16 – 19 Further Education Bursary can assist students by contributing to the essential expenses incurred when attending college, such as costs towards bus pass, course materials, essential trips related to their studies, costs towards attending university open days/interviews and for some student’s college meals. Bursaries will usually be paid ‘in kind’ rather than monetary payments. As well as supporting students who are in care or who are care leavers, we will prioritise students with a household gross income £29,000 or less (+£1,000 for each dependent sibling under the age of 18).
Bursary students will have priority access to technical equipment for example cameras, subject to availability. All bursary students will have access to a laptop loan for their period of study at Bilborough College. Information on how to borrow a laptop will be sent to students at the beginning of the academic year.
Students can apply for the college bursary once they have enrolled in August (please allow 24 hours) or at the beginning of a new academic year.
