Applications

Applications for 2026 are open!

You can apply online through our Application Portal.

Just create an account with your email so we can keep you updated. Read the info on this page, and if you’re unsure about anything, get in touch – we’re happy to help!

Submitting Your Application

  • Apply online through our portal.
  • Once you’ve filled everything in and clicked Submit, you’ll get an email confirming your application has been received.
  • You won’t get an instant confirmation email. When we’ve processed it, we’ll send you an email to confirm we’ve received it.

Applications are only processed during college working hours (Monday–Friday, term time). Please allow up to 5 working days for your confirmation email.

If you realise you’ve missed something out, don’t send another application. Just email us at admissions@bilborough.ac.uk and we’ll update it for you.

If you haven’t received a confirmation email after 5 working days, please contact us – it might be because:

  • Your email address was entered incorrectly,
  • Your application hasn’t been submitted successfully, or
  • There was a temporary technical issue when you clicked submit.

Important: Most emails are sent from noreply@bilborough.ac.uk, but sometimes from admissions@bilborough.ac.uk.

  • Check your junk/spam folder if you don’t see anything.
  • Make sure your details are correct – if not, you won’t get our messages.
  • If a parent/carer applied on your behalf, emails may go to their address instead of yours.

Offers

From October half-term, we start sending out provisional offers. Because we receive a lot of applications, it may take a little while – so don’t worry if you don’t hear from us straight away.

When you do get an offer, we’ll email you and your parent/guardian a leaflet with your course requirements.

Taster Days

Our Taster Days take place in July 2026:

  • Thursday 16th
  • Friday 17th
  • Monday 20th

These days give you the chance to:

  • Try out lessons in your chosen subjects
  • Look around the college
  • Meet other students
  • Get a feel for student life

If you’re unsure about subjects, you can try different sessions to help decide.

Invitations go out in February/March, and final details are sent in June.
⚠️ If you don’t reply to your invitation, we’ll assume you no longer require a place at the college.

Enrolment

After Taster Days, we’ll send you a letter inviting you to enrol.

  • Enrolment takes place over three days. It’s not first-come, first-served, so don’t worry which day you’re given.
  • If you can’t attend, email us with your official GCSE results and chosen subjects. If we don’t hear from you, we’ll assume you’ve changed your mind about joining.

At enrolment, you’ll:

  • Have a chat about your subjects (bring your GCSE results as evidence)
  • Be able to request subject changes (subject to availability and grades)
  • Get your student ID and lanyard (which you’ll need to wear on site for safety)
  • Receive a Welcome Pack with start-of-year information and enrichment opportunities
