Enrichment is held during lunchtimes and Wednesday afternoons.
Q: Do I have to take part in enrichment?
Yes, you are required to attend an enrichment activity alongside your academic studies. We have a wide selection for you to choose from and you can gain vital employability skills from attending, as well as make friends.
Q: Do I have to pay to take part in enrichment activities at the college?
Most enrichment activities on offer are completely free. There are, however, a few awards/certificates you can complete which do carry a cost. Bursary is available from the Student Executive to cover the cost for most of these if necessary.
Q: How many enrichments can I attend?
You can attend as many different enrichment activities as you like throughout the year, all we ask is that you keep on top of your academic studies at the college.
Q: How do I sign-up for team sports?
When you come to enrol at the college in August you will be asked what team sport you would like to take part in so please make sure you sign-up then.
Q: What team sports does the college offer?
Currently the college offers a variety of team sports including Football, Netball, Basketball & Rugby. These can vary annually depending on student interest.
Q: When do matches and training take place for team sports?
Training for matches normally takes place Monday mornings, Tuesday afternoons or Thursday afternoons on the timetable and all matches are on Wednesday afternoon. This is potentially subject to change allowing for social distancing measures and restrictions that may be in place.
Q: Do we offer any other sports that don’t require you to be in a team?
Yes, throughout the week there are a wide variety of sporting activities you can take part in for fun and to support your health and well-being.
Q: Does the college offer the Duke of Edinburgh Award Scheme?

Q: Can I run my own enrichment activity?
Yes, we encourage students to run enrichment clubs and societies. You will be given support by the Bilborough Xtra team to set it up and run it throughout the year.
Q: Are there any incentives to take part in enrichment?
Yes, we have a passport reward scheme where you receive stamps when you take part in enrichment. Students who complete their passport at the end of the year are entered for a cash prize draw. We also hold regular prize giveaways for participants and students that have downloaded the 6Xtra app.
Q: What if there is nothing I want to do for enrichment?
There is a wide variety of activities on offer for students to take part in for enrichment. However, we are open to offers so if there is something new you would like to see on the enrichment programme please do get in-touch.
